H.C. Andersen - Banknotes
H.C. Andersen has left his traces "everywhere" in Denmark, even on a banknote found in my "Andersen-Trunk" in the attic. The back side of the banknote shows a Danish landscape that has nothing to do with Andersen.

Denmark 1952-1953. Bank note of 10 Danish Kroner, showing Andersen's portrait and the illustration to "The Marsh King's Daughter". Pick # 43. The banknote was issued under the Act of 7th April 1936. The banknote is no longer legal tender.
Denmark 2005. 10-kroner commemorative coin depicting on the backside a rendition of "The Ugly Duckling". The coin is legal tender.
Also Sweden has a bank note slightly related to Andersen, the 50 Swedish Kroner note issued in 1996(7).
